A karaoke ( CDG) disk on the average has 15 songs. Is their a way to rip the songs to a file using the right software that would compress the songs to like a mp3-g format, which then would allow you after you have ripped the songs, be able to burn them songs on a DVD disk. You could probley put 2,000 songs on one disk instead of 15 songs and that would be easier than carring around 2,000 disk to do a show.

The only way I see this, is burning your mp3+g file on a DVD-R/RW and than read your file from the dvd player versus the hard drive.
So far, I don't believe there is one cdg player capable of burning cdg's on dvd's & of course playing them back would also be a problem.
Your DVD would be kind of a back up of your files that you could easely be played on any computer cdg compatible or not!!
May I suggest a good software for playback? www.karawin.com Hope it's not in conflict with any software here
