I am new at Karaoke. And I’m thinking of buying an RSQ-E500, which has the ability of playing NEO+G disc. I have seen NEO+G disc with as many as 1200 songs. My question, is the quality of the songs as good as CD+G with 15/20 songs? And has anyone purchased “Karaoke Klub Super Hits Vol. 1, 2 or 3” Any help would be appreciated. I have to say, when Neo+g first came out I was a little sceptical about quality of sound and picture etc, however I found these fears to be groundless, and the sound quality was excellent, even including backing vocals on many tracks when I thought it would have been more like a midi player.

Only trouble is, it seems to be a bit of a full stop format at the moment.

I, along with many KJ's out there, am going over to laptop Karaoke, storing songs on an external hard drive. I have ripped the majority of my cd+g discs to my drive, but am unable to rip neo+g discs as I am assured that this is not possible. And as my laptop cannot run Neo+G discs these are now a bit redundant and I will not be buying any more.

I will say though that if you have no intention of ever going to computer based Karaoke then go for it with Neo+G, You will not be disapointed.
