|
|
| I have Windows Vista on my laptop and the Siglo Karaoke Professional Program. How can I keep my KJ program and send out the singers window from my computer to TV monitors. Right now I am plugging in a video-S cable in the back and converting to RCA and then the RCA to Coaxial cable. For some reason I can't get the image to the TV monitors for the singers. What am I doing wrong? I am pulling all my karaoke songs in from my external hard drive and it works great on the computer but I can't get it from the computer to the TV monitors. Help! |

| You need to access your display properties and select the settings tab on your laptop. Under the display drop down menu, select the #2 display and check the extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor, then click OK. Open the Karaoke Pro program and click on the settings button. Select the "display" on the left side and check Use secondary monitor and select 2: Default Monitor from the drop down menu. Click OK at the bottom. You should be able to see the singer's screen on the TV |

Do I have to have my monitor connected because a second monitor option is not showing up in my Power Karaoke under settings and display?
Thanks |

You need to connect and turn on your second monitor before booting up the Windows system for the monitor to be properly detected. _________________ Adam

Help,
I've tried just about everything. My Siglo Karaoke Professional program works great on my Windows Vista laptop however I cannot get what the singer sees to show on any of my TV monitors. These are the steps I have taken:
1. Made sure computer was shut off.
2. Attached a S-video cable to the back of my computer with a s-video to RCA adapter.
3. Attached a RCA cable to the adapter and ran it into a box that converts the RCA to a coaxial cable output. Made sure that box and TV were set to channel 4.
4. Turned TV monitors on.
5. Turned computer on and waited for it to boot up.
6. Went to my desktop and right clicked on personalize.
7. Next clicked on Display settings.
8. At this point display settings window opens up showing a Monitor 1 and a Monitor 2.
9. I click on Monitor 2 and checkmark Extend the Desktop unto this monitor but when I click on Identify Monitors only the Number 1 monitor is identified. I cannot identify the Number 2 only the Number 1.
10. Extension to Number 2 monitor is not allowed.
11. A (Default Monitor) on ATI Mobility Radeon X1400 Driver is used. This is where my problem exists, a second monitor is not detected. I don't know at this point if my laptop is lacking something.
12. I open my Siglo Karaoke Professional program
13. I click on settings
14. I click on Display
15. I click on Use Secondary Monitor
16. Only choice to the right of my checked Use Secondary Monitory is 1: Generic PNP Monitor with no other choice from the dropdown menu.
17. I click OK and close out the window and when I Play a selection in my rotation list the song plays great on the computer but no signal is sent to the TV monitors even when directly plugged into the monitors.
Is there something lacking in my laptop computer do you think that it doesn't identify a external TV monitor?
Thanks for everyones help with this.
It is greatly appreciated.

You should see the Windows desktop screen on your second monitor after booting up the system. If you do not, it means the TV was not detected, and you need to make sure it is properly connected. It is not possible to use the second monitor in Siglos when it is not detected by the operating system. _________________ Adam

|
|
May be the problem that I am having lies in the channel the monitors are set to before the computer is turned on. I have the TV's set to channel 4, would that make a difference?
Also when the The TV's are turned on before the computer is turned on I have a signal of two monitors going in. Would that make a difference?
I'll get this figured out yet with your help.
Thank you so much for your patience in helping get this figured out. |

When you did step 9 did you click on apply or OK? Try clicking on apply just to make sure the check mark is still on the "Extend my windows desktop onto this monitor" Sometimes when you click on the apply or OK button, the check mark disappears. You might have to repeat this step several times. Also, check on your screen resolution and make sure your TV is capable of handling the resolution that is set |
