I was testing some files that I converted from cdg to mp3g. One file was named y.m.c.a..mp3 and y.m.c.a..bin. I couldn't figure out why there was no sound. I was able to play and hear the mp3 file using media player. I was able to view the cdg file using player pro but no sound. After renaming y.m.c.a..mp3 to y.m.c.a.mp3 I was able to hear sound using player pro.

Thanks for sharing this with us. It looks like two consecutive dots were causing the problem.

Just wanted to let you know that I had a similar problem. But this is with Power CD+G to MPG Converter and it crashes the program with files with multiple dots like "y.m.c.a." or "T.A.T.U." etc. in the file name.

I need to correct my statement in the previous message and also provide more detail:

When using batch convert in CDG to MPG Converter, if the program encounters a song named with multiple dots, then it creates an mpg for that song with no sound. Then, while converting the next file, the program will crash.

My simple workaround is to rename the file removing the extra dots. However, this should be fixed in future releases.

I'm using Windows XP Pro. Btw, any products available for Linux in the future?
