When I play a song on Siglos pro, the playback freezes between a second and about 5 seconds on a lot of my songs. When the song begins again, the lyrics stay frozen for a few seconds and then catch up to the audio. What could the problem be? Is there a setting I need to change on my laptop?

Please try to increase the value in 'Preview screen update speed' in File -> Settings -> KJ, for example set it to 1000 or even higher.

OK, I tried setting preview speed to 1000. It doesn't go any higher than that. I played a dozen songs or so and it is still freezing although not as long as it was before. No more than a second or two but still annoying. Thanks for the tip but do you have any other ideas?

I just downloaded ver 1.2.86. yesterday.
I downloaded the original last Tuesday so it should have been a pretty recent version.

I had the same thing happing a lot with my old computer and I tuned off the logging program and quit playing any music with the fill in music part of the program and that helped quite a bit but I ended up buying a new computer with lots of speed and 8 gig of memory before I lost that bug completely.

Please try disabling 'Skip silence' options in Settings/KJ and see if this will speed things up.

Also please try installing K-Lite codec pack:

OK, is there anything I need to do with codec pack after downloading? I've downloaded basic and disabled skip silence but am still getting short freezes. Once, in the middle of a song, I just moved the mouse and the playback froze for a couple of seconds.

I appreciate everyone's help. I'd hate to go back to CD-G's but this glitch really makes me cringe every time someone is into a song and they have to pause, look at me with that WTF look until the song comes back.

You need to install the codec (ie. run it after downloading).

I installed the codec and the video is still freezing some. Is this a matter of RAM or is it the graphics card in my laptop?
