Sure would be nice to be able to insert an avi (or MPG) video with audio to make a CD+G bin file. I have some nice screen capture avi files from midikaraoke/sing along aplications that show the notes (ie sheet music / fake book) that I would like to turn into CD+G type discs. Already can make DVD and VCD discs but they don't play on a CD+G machine so a video import would be nice (I already can extract the wav and import it of course). Sheet music type graphics turn me on a lot more than gratuitous graphics. Some folks would probably like to use the same feature to make CD+G music videos (gag) |

Bad news here. It is impossible to convert video into CD+G. CD+G format is very limited, and it barely copes with the text and images (note how long does it take to display an image -- usually couple of seconds).
The only solution is to take the music from the video, type in the lyrics, resynchronize it, and save as a CDG track. _________________ Piotr

| I just bought an inexpensive karaoke player that only supports MP3+G format, but I already have a ton of AVI and MPEG files that I'd like to convert to MP3+G format. I noticed the last post was in 2002 saying that it can't be done, but was wondering if someone has been able to make the conversion possible in the past 7 years? |

Just created an account to get a notification to this thread in case someone can explain how to convert from AVI to MP3+G format.
Thanks! |
