You mean WMA+CDG? WMA files are not officially supported, but you should be able to burn WMA+CDG pairs, unless the files are copyprotected.

Perhaps my problems isn't that the files I can't play are MPEG, rather they are WMA - CDG

Is there a way around this so I can play the song. With winzip, I unzipped the WMA file and could play it with Windows player, but I can't play in Siglos.

Are there plans to make them WMA compatible? I have a LOT of songs with WMA-CDG

You should be able to play CDG+WMA in Siglos. Is there any error message displayed?

No, you can see the title page and it shows the song with the amount of minutes, but when you press play, it immediately goes back to start.

I have a laptop, Vista, Pro Karaoke. What can I do to get this to work. I can play those same songs in a free software from another vendor, but not with Siglos Pro. What other settings may I be missing?

Eventually, I do something (who knows) and it basically gives a message that Siglos isn't responding. This is getting frustrating.

What do I do?

Please send an example of CDG+WMA pair you are having problems with to support@powerkaraoke.com for testing.

Thank you, I will try it.

I've had some odd import issues to the database also. Some will import with the Title in the Artist column and vice versa. I've never successfully been able to import via ID3. I know it isn't recommended, but I haven't been able to get it converted when I try one file at a time.

How long should it take to convert with ID3? I've tried with one song and after 10 minutes or so, I gave up as I realized it would never work with the thousands that I have.

I have in excess of 20,000 songs that are on an external drive. I wouldn't mind it working overnight, or even a couple days, if it identified them better than by the parsing rules which still ends up sometimes with part of the DISC ID mixed with the title column etc. Would ID3 fix that?

What is the purpose of ID3 if it isn't recommended?

ID3 is not recommended if you have large amount of ZIP files -- unpacking them to read ID3 from every MP3 file would take forever. If you are importing MP3+Gs ID3 is the way to go.
