|
|
I am in my trial period, and wanted to test creating a CD+G file. So, I created the file in Power Karaoke, and added the lyrics, etc. Then, I created the .bin file using PK as well. When I play that file with the PK Player, it plays fine.
However, when I burned it to a CD using CDRWIN (also trial), and stick it in my RadioShack Karaoke player, the base is all whacked, and nothing ever outputs to the screen. Other purchased Karaoke CDs work fine.
Is there something I am missing? |

It looks like there is some problem with CD+G burning -- BIN files generated by PowerKaraoke are 100% compatible with all CD+G players.
Note that you have to use a CD-R burner that is CD+G compatible (see CDRWin site for details). It is also important to remember that most CD+G players are unable to read CD-RWs, and some are very picky about the CD-Rs you use (we recommend using branded CD-Rs, eg. TDKs).
Below are instructions on how to burn CD+G track with CDRWin.
1. Create BIN file with your song.
2. Insert a blank CD-R disc into your CD writer and run CDRWIN
3. Click on Record Disc.
4. Click Load Tracks.
5. Click on the CD+G option.
6. Now click Add and select any .bin files you wish to add to your disc.
Do NOT select .cdg files - these files are not the same as the files needed by CDRWIN and only .bin files will work.
7. Click OK to confirm your selections and go back to the previous screen.
8. Now click Start Recording.
The selected tracks will all be written to your disc, and if your CD+G machine is able to play CD-R discs it will play your own customised CD+G tracks.
If you have any problems with burning BIN tracks, try visiting http://www.karaokeplayground.co.uk -- the FAQ is full of useful information and the message board is a goldmine of information. _________________ Piotr

I tried another Burner...
This time the Audio plays fine through the Karaoke machine, but no video.
I guess now I am missing the +G piece
I'll have to rummage through my burners and see if any are supported |

There are actually various issues here. First, if you're using CDRWIN, make sure that your "WRITE" speed is no greater than 4x. The slower the speed, the better the burn. Make sure that you don't have any other activity going on in the background while burning the file.
I personally have found that the "RSQ/JVC" (Chances are that RSQ builds the Radio Shack player) players have difficulty reading the files that are created through any karaoke authoriing program. I have three different programs and they all do the same thing. I found that if I place the disc in the tray and press the track number I want played before the tray closes that I may get audio with no video or video and no audio. If I place the cd in the tray, close it and let the player recognize the disc before selecting the track, it will normally play properly. I also found that If I create two version of the track, one with vocals and one without, the latter will be the one that I have more trouble with. |

I too am having problems with getting the graphics to display.
My burner is a liteOn cdrw sohr-5238s.
I have used clone cd to copy my cdg disks and everything works fine. Graphics are displayed when played in my radio shack player.
I have used dart Pro to create Karaoke files. I then created my bin files
and used power cue creator to create my cue sheet. Using nero 6 I burned of the cue sheet. When placed in the player, it plays and the graphics are on the screen.
When I use Power Karaoke to create my bin files and do the same steps as to create the cue file and burn, I get no graphics on the screen.
I have used the power bin interleaver and also tried to use a trial version of there new power cd+g burner. but still no graphics.
I can't use cdrwin because it does not detect my cd burner.
I have also used a sony cd burner , and still no graphics.
Can any one help?[/i][/b] |
