I'm a newbie to computer based Karaoke. I'm trying out Siglos Karaoke Professional since it's got to be easier than feeding CDG's into a player.
Anyway, I have no problem ripping CDG's (using audiograbber) into MP3G's and using them with the demo.
The problem is there apparently is no ID3 tag info on the karaoke disks I have. The only info I get is track 1, track 2, etc.
Of course I can use an ID3 tag editor and supply the info once ripped. And I've tested it and Siglos picks the ID3 tags up fine.
I just can't imagine this to be the norm thor. I'm certainly not going to edit every ID3 tag for every CDG song I have.
Am I doing it wrong? |

Please note, CD+G discs do not contain the title/artist info. It can be downloaded from the FreeDB Internet database, but I'm not sure if Audiograbber supports it. You may try to rip the discs using Power CD+G Burner, in which this feature is available. _________________ Adam

Yes, Audiograbber supports FreeDB lookup.
Since I'm in a 'try before I buy' mode I just ripped the 1st disk I grabbed to create a Siglos Pro database. In this case all FreeDB returned the disk title.
I'll have to try a Karaoke disk from a different company, see how that works.
Thanks for the info. All in all I must say Siglos Karaoke Pro is a darn sweet 'Karaoke management center'. So far I'm impressed with the features
... Well, except for the issue of barfing on fill-in MP3's (which I'm sure has to be a problem on my end somewhere/somehow). |
