I am using a Comaq laptop running windows ME. The bin files play fine when I double click and load a file thorugh Windows Explorer however if I select a file from the playlist it lock the computer up. The bin files are on a hard disk that is attached via USB 2

Also. I am using a USB attached CDrom drive. When I load a CD+G via this drive the Player will read the track list OK but when I select a track and click PLAY the computer locks up.

Any ideas?

One thing that might help is updating DirectX from http://www.microsoft.com/download. If it does not work, please post back.

The most current Direct was installed (9.0) It still lockes up. Although I can now close the player through ctrl-alt-del but when I go to load the player again it tellls me it is already running.

Have you tried re-installing Power CD+G Player Pro? I have to admit I cannot think of any solution to your problem.

Thanks so much - I rinstalled the player and it works great. Do have to be careful that I don't click twice on any song - that will lock it up again.

One question - is there a way to convert BIN file to MP3 + the graphics file

Evaluation version of PowerKaraoke will allow you to split BIN to CDG and WAV. You may then encode WAV to MP3 using any audio encoding software. Or you may use Power CD+G Burner to rip CD+G straight to MP3/CDG file pairs.
