Ive been using (or trying) Siglos Pro but evry night it freezes the computer, sometimes more than once. I have to re-boot the whole system. One of my gigs the owners were getting upset so I just went to the regular player and have had no problems. I uesd the standard player for 3 years without too many problems.
I'm using Vista with all the updates and the current version of Siglos. I like the Pro version but do not trust it. |

Please try to enable 'Use compatible MP3 decoding' in File -> Settings -> General. _________________ Adam

Please do the following:
1. Run the program
2. Click in the program main window
3. Press Ctrl+Shift+L
4. Message "Log enabled" should appear
5. Restart the program
6. Follow the actions leading to the problem
7. Exit the program
8. Go to My Documents (or Documents on Vista) -- you will find "sigloslog.txt" file there. Please email it to support@powerkaraoke.com. _________________ Adam

| I am having the same troubles with the new version of Pro. I find that iti happens most of the time with running fill in music. and it happens more often the more songs that are in the fill in list and the more singers I have in cue. I still like the karaoke pro better than the other programs I have tried. but sure wish you could get the bugs worked out of it. |

Siglos Karaoke Pro may freeze at any time just by clicking on something. I have yet to get through a rotation of four to six people without it locking up, having to shut it down and start again. I dread having to add a new singer or do anything that requires clicking the mouse.
I have a new laptop and am using a new external drive. I have the settings in the program the way that has been suggested for this type of problem but it hasn't resolved anything.
I really like the program ... has nice features and should be easy to use.
I have been using a couple of the other programs from powerkaraoke.com for a long time with great results. This is why I chose the Siglos Pro ... figured it would be a dependable program.
I've tried everything I know of ... feeling pretty frustrated. |

I am sorry for these problems. We are working on possible solutions.
One more thing to try is to change Renderer in Settings/Display to Standard Renderer. |

| After 3 months of fixes and try that, I am down to one or two reboots a night. Very irritating but I do like the program other than the freezing thing. I've found if you check save playlist option you won't have to reload all your singers every time you restart your computer. I hope someday to have this work fawlesly, stay on it please!7 |

We introduced some changes in version 1.2.77.
The problem with this bug is that we cannot reproduce it on any of our test machines -- there must be a software or hardware configuration that is causing problems, but so far we have not been able to find what it is. The software works flawlessly on most machines, yet some users experience problems.
We are working on major rewrite on playback engine to fix this. |

| I have been experiencing this problem since I installed it on a new Dell running Vista. I've had it error out and close periodically under varying circumstances, but it can freeze up multiple times a night at the end of a song. I'll call up the next singer only to realize that the player has frozen at the end of the previous song. The song is still listed on the player and the player is unresponsive. The task manager doesn't show the player as running and the computer has to be rebooted. After the reboot and player restart, the previous song/singer is still qued and has to be removed/skipped. I have enabled the log, as mentioned in a post reply, and will be looking at that after my next crash series. I didn't see the setting option relating to compatible MP3 decoding, mentioned in one of the replies. I did disable the 'silence elimination' option at the end songs to see if that might be intermittantly causing an issue. I'll let you know how it goes. |

| Piotr, i have the same issue as karocky. exactly as he describes. to throw another wrench into the problem, i do not use mp3's, only .WAV's. i also have a dell with vista, but mine is 2 years old. perhaps a certain dell driver is getting in the way? |
