Hi, I am having problems with the latest version evaluation PVK. I can encode to avi but when I try Mpeg the program always closes by itself. I like the program but I'm not ready to buy it if it dosen't work properly.

Also, is there anyway to not have the song playing whilst it's encoding? I can here it in the background and it sounds jittery, so I think it may be slowing down my PC too.

You should not hear the song while encoding. Please try updating your DirectX. What operating system are you using?

I have the same problem: the trial version of power CDG to MPEG converter 1.0.17 crashes after a few seconds of converting. The CDG plays perfect in Power CD+G Player Pro.

I use XP prof. SP2 with directx 9.0c on a athlon XP 2000+

Please try using different compression settings -- are you using DVD compression? I have to admit I do not know what might be causing this problem.

I have tried different types of compression, different locations of saving. All crash. I have >3 gig free disk space on all hard disks. After crashing, the converter leaves 3 files: an .mpg, an aud.mpg (both files empty), and a file with the extension .m1v.

Windows error report:

AppName: cdg2mpg.exe AppVer: 1.0.17.0 ModName: ffdshow.ax
ModVer: 1.0.0.1 Offset: 0007ae89

Probably some incomatible filters got included in the filter graph... This is strange, I will have to investigate it. We use internal MPEG encoder, but maybe they are used for MP3 decoding.
