|

I purchased this software for a non profit organization that provides karaoke for donations. The money is limited that is why I purchased this software. At first, I could rip cdgs into my computer and not have a problem. Now I am trying to rip more cdgs into my computer and when I try the program becomes non responding. I have left this message before for help to correct this issue, however, I have not received an answer or help with this issue. You can contact me at tynkerbelle33@hotmail.com. I am really frustrated because I volunteer my time to help kids with Muscular Dystrophy, and can not load more cdgs into my computer to make this project a success. Thank you for your time.

Could you please send a log file created by Power CD+G Burner to support@powerkaraoke.com. It is
cdgblog.txt file located in 'C:\Program Files\Doblon\Power CD+G Burner'
directory (if you are using Windows Vista please press Ctrl+L and the
folder containing the log file will be displayed). This will allow us to
find what the problem might be. _________________ Adam

I have this same problem. I doesn't happen on every disc and some are discs are worse than others and it is usually on the same track each attempt. The only solution is to close the program and restart. I have been able to eventually get every track so far to finally rip but it is not often that I can start a ripping session and just walk away an trust that it will finish without locking up.
Also I have searched for that text file you mention but it doesn't appear in the location you've directed me to. |

| A ha. I found the file using Ctrl L. It's a pretty big file. How should I send it? Should I paste it to a post? |

I am a computer tech and believe you probably have an issue with the software environment rather than the software itself. Without knowing all of the details and actually seeing the computer I can only give the most common software issues I run into.
First I would ask if it's just the software you were having a problem with and nothing else. If you are having problems with multiple programs it can sometimes point back to hardware issues.
Then I would ask how many things were loading up when your computer boots and you login. Usually entirely too much. Many times all of the programs that load up when you turn your computer on can sometimes create a conflict somewhere with the program. Most of these startup programs are convienent features for different applications. Sometimes limited RAM memory and/or virtual memory can cause problems too.
In a nutshell I would first try to login as another user and run the program. Remove as many startup programs as possible. Increase your virtual memory by going to advanced under system properties and increase to the recommended or enter a manual amount (up to 3972 for most Windows OS) And lastly physically add RAM memory. I'm pretty sure that following these basic guidelines should help.
Hope this helps! |

Ok..I will say that I've recently noticed when I process some larger capacity CD+G's..like a 15+ track disk I've had some issues toward the end of the disc. I found I can leave it and it will eventually finish ripping to hdd. (maybe 15 min tops for the last rack)
Some new Sound Choice disc's did this yesterday. So far the only commonality I have found between them is that a standard CD disc is 74 minutes and to do 15+ track may require processing as 80 min media. There may be a quirk reading beyond the standard 74 min for some reason. If I learn anything else I will post. But if you leave it, it will eventually copy. fyi-I am running all up to date hardware and software. (inspiron 1721 w/Windows 7) Could be a application glitch?...Cheers! |
