After I thought that I'd posted last Monday, it appears I actually never, so here I go again.

This may have been covered beofre, but unsure.

With the fill-in playlist, is there anyway of making it kick in near the end of the Karaoke file? Say 5 seconds before the music finishes. This way it can auto crossfade itself into playing the fill in playlist without having a silence gap between the cross over from karaoke file to music audio?

It would help those who seem to have issues blending music in and out of karaoke music each other smootly while using the mic at the same time. It would also mean I only had to carry the laptop rather than some CD's too.

In addition to what djgaryc has mentioned, I would also like to add a couple other ideas pertaining to the same topic. First of all I would just like to say that I absolutely love the program, I am using the professional edition.

If at all possible, I think it would be great if you were able to make the music in the fill in playlist crossfade from one song to the next with no silent gap. I have found that on some occasions, there can be as much as a couple seconds before one song plays after the previous song has ended. It almost sounds like a jukebox playing music jumping from one song to the next. If the following song could start playing as the previous one is ending it would take away that slight silence in between.

Another idea I have is to create some sort of announcement screen that displays in the instance where there are no singers. By doing this, it would eliminate the blank screen that currently displays when there is no "next singer" in the rotation. Also make it customizable to where we as hosts could display our company name, or maybe a "welcome to" screen with the venue name. I think it would help promote business for everyone, meaning ourselves, the venues, and siglos' software.

from what you are describing, it sounds like you just want to customize the "inactive background" screen in settings > display
i just made a png of my logo and the bars logo that after the last singer is done it shows.[/img]

i would LOVE to see the crossfade option!!!!
along the same lines of having a second player (only way i can think of doing crossfade) is to enable it to give a preview to show singers asking if they can see or hear it first. just redirect it to a second out on the sound card.

I did think of one other thing that I think would be a great headache saver. I have noticed that when dragging and dropping songs to the fill in playlist, they automatically get inserted to the bottom of the list. Well I usually have a pretty long list of music loaded up, it is a pain to have to manually drag songs from the bottom all the way to the top of the list. Is there anyway that can be changed so that the song is inserted at the exact point that we drop it in the fill in playlist. It would save loads of time!!!
