i am running windows xpsp2 with an artec CD-RW CDR-7S52 and a Samsung Writemaster TSSTcorp CD/DVDW sh-w162c, Both of which are CD+G compatable and recognised by the software, however all i get when i play a pre-recorded or self recorded Karaoke disc is the music without lyrics, however when i open an MP3+g itfrom my hard drive it plays perfectly. any help/advice would be really appreciated.

This is strange, because this usually happens when a drive does not provide CD+G subcodes. What software are you using to rip CD+Gs that proves to work?

Have you tried switching between SPTI and ASPI modes in Settings dialog box?

if it helps narrow things down the karaoke discs play in winamp with a cdg plugin

I am little lost here. Are you able to play with CD+G plugin in Winamp and not with Power CD+G Player Pro?

yes thats the situation except its power cd+g player not pro

Power CD+G Player (not Pro) does not have disc playback capability. You need to get the Pro version to use it.
