What software are you using? PowerKaraoke or PowerKaraoke Plus? And how are you playing it on a TV -- are you using CD+G player or are you converting to VideoCD?

I'm using power cdg to avi converter.And am using a cdg player. Converting to a vcd. Is there other options i could be doing?

You may try Power CDG to MPG Converter. It allows you to define the margin around the lyrics that will eliminate the clip.
