You would have to convert the CDGs to avi or mpeg.
You would have to make sure that you standalone player can play divx or mpeg4 stuff.
You can burn the CDG files to a DVD-R and play them using a computer or just install them on a hard drive. |

Yep -- DVD and CD+G are different. You need to convert to DivX (Power CD+G to AVI Converter will do this) or to MPEG (Power CD+G to MPEG Converter). _________________ Piotr

I asked for advice on this at a computer fair the other day and was told that both plextor and Asus make dvd writers that support cdg.
That's how i understand it compatible hardware and compatible software,
Can't help on the software though, but I bet goldenhawk would do something, as cdrwin works so well on cdr
hope that helps |

| Trying your software in demo mode to see how it works but limitation mentions your banner but have no sucess with sound, I can do the conversion but there is no sound on playback, is this because it is in demo mode? |

Which program are you referring to? Are you using the latest version of the software? Also what audio compression are you using? _________________ Piotr

My apologies for the lack of info, I will start again i am new to this. I want to play my Karaoke disks in the car dvd player. I have the tracks now on my HD as cdg and mp3 files. I have downloaded power cdg to mpg converter. I have tried to convert to standard mpeg1 and mpeg1 with vcd ectentions (pal). I set rest of settings as pictured on the help file.
I hope this is a better discription, and will be happy to purchase software if i can get it to work. |

Thank you for explanations.
Are you using the latest version of the program (1.0.23)? Also do the files play ok with demo version of Power CD+G Player Pro? _________________ Piotr
