Hello,
I'm using a trial version of powerkaraoke plus. I loaded a sound track, typed in a few lines of lyrics in the editor, syncrhonized them and played them back. The timing of the lyrics highlights was off. I created the CD+G file and played it and got the same result. It was slower than it should be and it fell more and more behind as the song went on. Any advice please?
Thanks in advance. |

Have you tried synchronizing again? If the lyrics are not in sync in editor, they will not be in CD+G either.
Note that you may shift all labels by the same offset using Edit/Shift Labels command.
If you are sure that you have done the synchronization properly and the song is still not in sync I suggest you to download the latest DirectX from http://www.microsoft.com/download. _________________ Piotr

Hello and thanks for your suggestion.
I downloaded the latest DirectX, however I still have the lyrics display timing problem(both on play back and using CD+G player). I tried both ltf and rtl fonts! The shift label command didn't seem to fix it either. Do you have other suggestions?
Thanks. |

What are you using as soundtrack? Is it a MP3 file? Please note that CD+G standard requires CD format (44100 Hz/16bit) soundtracks. You may find out about the details of the soundtrack by right-clicking it in Windows Explorer and choosing Properties.
If the file is not CD-compatible you need to convert it using audio editing utility (Goldwave (http://www.goldwave.com) is one you can choose). _________________ Piotr

Hi,
I even used the 'Mary' MP3 song you supplied and added added the lyrics for it. I then synchronized (using space bar to highlight words) and then played back immediately. My timing was off during playback (as well as in CD+G player). I tried with a couple of different MP3 soundtracks and got same result. Is it because I'm using an evaluation version of the s/w? I must be doing something basic wrong, because I guess no one else is seeing this problem! Any other suggestion is appreciated.
Thanks. |

I have to admit this is very strange.
What operating system are you using? Also what soundcard is installed in your machine? _________________ Piotr

I tried on two computers. First one is a Win 2000 professional, with Creative Sound Blaster Audio PCI 128D card, and the second is a Win XP Home (sound card: Yamaha AC-XG).
Is there way to control the speed of lyrics highlighting during playback?
Thanks. |

I admit I have no ideas what might be wrong. Have you experienced this behaviour with every song you used as a soundtrack? _________________ Piotr
