|
|
hi
Could you help me solve this problem
I have created the bin and cd+g files from my karaoke files
which play fine in Power Karaoke and display the graphics fine.
The cd+g player works fine.
if i create a wave / cd+g file from the bin file all is well.
I've then burnt the bin files to disc using cdrwin 3.9
using cdrwin
i've added the bin files
selected the cd+g button
I can see the selected tracks ok in cdrwin
you can see the files and the total time on the disc ok
it also burns to the cd ok
you can see the resultant audio files on the cd but not the words I understand these are in imbedded the file somewhere.
I've tried to play the disc on a karaoke player that plays purchased cd+g files no problem, it plays the audio file ok, but refuses the display the lyrics??
sometimes some tracks wont play at all.
the writer is a yamaha and the information from cdrwin said it can read and write cd+g files ok
I've used good quality audio discs and tried the cheaper ones and various other makes
burnt at 4 x
using an earlier version of cdrwin 3,8 recorded at 1 x speed worked ok
I am using cd-r discs 700mb 48 x
I've also downloaded and installed Ld player for the pc to play the cd+g disc but again only plays the audio no lyrics from the yamaha disc drive.
I understand that normal players and stand alone dvd players do not play cd+g.
not sure where im going wrong here.
I haven't tried 650 meg discs as yet
could you help
regards

I have to admit that this sounds very strange, as previous version of CDRWin worked fine.
First a tip for testing -- try setting up LDPlayer so you can play commercial CD+Gs. Then use rewritable CD-RWs to burn and test on your computer. If burned disk plays in LDPlayer then you may use CD-Rs and test on standalone device.
I would try lowering the recording speed. It will not hurt and as you wrote it worked before it might do the trick.
Also you may post your question here:
http://www.karaokeplayground.co.uk/ubbcgi/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=forum;f=9 -- this is the best place for solving problems with CD+G burning.
If you still are unable to burn using CDRWin you may try burning using Nero. Detailed instructions can be found here:
http://www.karaokeplayground.co.uk/help/help.htm
And please post back what where the results. _________________ Piotr

| I'm having the same problem. Everything goes smooth, from creating the bin file, to burning it to cd with rwin. But when I play the newly created CDG in my karaoke player all I have is music and no lyrics. Just a black screen. Rwin says my drive is supported and everything looks fine. I'm running XP and I don't think I have to make any registry tweaks or anything. Help. |

I would suggest you to trydifferent CD-Rs and burn with the lower speed. It is known that some CD+G players are picky about the media and burning with lower speed ensures better quality if the CD. _________________ Piotr

Yes, I use XP home too and NO .bin from powerkaraoke plus (trial) works on my two different standalone players.
My cd-r drive seems to be okay, cause I can grab any cd+g and burn the songs again with nero... No problems with all these grabbed tracks from prof. CD+g... but the selfmade tracks will not work, don't know why...
If there is a way to manage this prob. I will buy the software.
Please reach me by mail...
Tanks so much!

The problem might be that your burner does not burn properly files created with PowerKaraoke. Have you tried playing BIN files that you have ripped from CD and then recorded to another CD with Power CD+G Player?
I am currently working on a function that will interleave the BIN file -- this should help with such cases. It should be ready in two-three days. BTW -- what burner are you using? Have you tried burning with CDRWin? _________________ Piotr
