Does anyone have any idea of what software will convert a .mpg file to a cd+g for use on a karaoke machine? Sad

I am afraid it is simply not possible. CD+G can display only approx 5 KB of graphics per second, while it is much more for a video stream. While you can convert CDG to video it is not possible the other way round.

The only solution is to save the audio track from the MPG video, re-synchronize the lyrics, and create a new CD+G song.

If your question is: Can I convert an mp3+g to a cdg (bin) well yes it can be done quite easy... Let me know I'll tell you which software (free) to use.

sulster asked for a tool to convert from MEPG (video format) to CD+G. And this is not possible.

There are plenty of tools that will convert MP3+G to BIN -- even PowerKaraoke has this (Toolbox - MP3/WAV + CDG => BIN).
