It would be helpful if there were keyboard support for items such as play, pause, forward, back.

Using the mouse requires the mouse not be moved or constant watch on where your mouse pointer is -- it makes it difficult while trying to synchronize the lyrics to the song.



Would also be nice Home, Page Up, Page Down keys work for the soundtrack bar and lyrics.

I understand you are referring to Karaoke CD+G Creator? There are keyboard shortcuts to these commands -- please see Play menu, they are listed there. Also Home/End and Ctrl-Home/Ctrl-End key combinations work in Lyrics editor.
