Hello All! I do not know where exactly to begin. But I'll give it my best shot.
I bought a karaoke machine, a "Singing Machine SMG-301" to be exact.
Don't know anything about Karaoke machines, but this one only cost me $40.
So I get the machine, and I head to Walmart and grab some Karaoke CD's.. Since I had to pay $11+ per cd, I got the brilliant idea to go to Ebay to see if I could get a better deal.
So I bought a large quantity of cd's...like 26 or so, with a total of 406 songs.
I plug the Karaoke machine into my tv, pop in a few cd's and the music comes on, and the lyrics appear on the tv. Perfect.
Then....in my never-ending quest for something better, the wheels in my head begin turning and i think that maybe there's a way I can rip these CD's to my laptop, and that will keep me from having to switch cd's everytime I want to go to a different set of songs.
NOW - The big problem! I have no idea what the difference between a CD+G, MP3, BIN, or a JPG (just kidding)....
But really, I do not know the difference in any of these types of music files.
I dont know where to start, what do I need?
All I want to do is somehow rip the karaoke cd's to my laptop, plug my laptop into my karaoke machine, plug my karaoke machine into my tv and then start singing.
End result would be the music starts playing, the lyrics appear on my tv, and i don't have to switch disks to go to a different song. All I would have to do is click on the desired song that's on my laptop to switch songs.
Can anyone help me? I apologize for being so karaoke illiterate.
Thanks,
Sunshine |

One of the possible solutions is to rip the CDG discs to CDG+MP3 using Power CDG Burner, and playback on your laptop using Power CDG Player Pro.
Also, you can rip the discs into AVI files using Power CDG to Video Converter and playback on your laptop using Windows Media Player.
I recommend to download the demo of the products:

and check it out to make sure what solution suits you best. _________________ Adam
