Hi!

During evaluating Siglos player I found a few problems which are most likely bugs.

I added a few songs to the playlist - mostly a mix of cdg+mp3 and mpg songs. Most of the time the player stopped playing after finishing a song in mpg. I had to manually start the next song. This happened during about 75% of my trials - it failed mostly when it had to switch from a mpg to a cdg.

When playing a cdg it mostly started the next song correctly no matter if it was in mpg or cdg - but also here not 100%.

When I modified the playlist while a song was playing, for example by adding new songs or changing the row of songs, then after finishing the current playing song it happened very often that the player started with a song which was in the playlist somewehere before the just finished song instead of playing the next one in the row.

Remark: The option to "pause between songs" was turned off. The bugs were reproducable on two other PC. I used two PC running Win XP Prof. and one running Win 2000.

Any idea?

Regards,
Kirk

Hi Piotr!

Thank you for your quick response. I am sure without having these bugs your player will be a great tool - especially for professional use in a production enviroment. Cool

Kirk

Version 1.0.6 is available for download. It should fix the problems you describe.

Hello!

Great! It works now - thanks. Another problem I have noticed is that while the player is actually playing a song, then during adding other songs by drag&drop into the playlist the sound gets shortly interrupted at the point when dropping a song. Can you reproduce that problem? Maybe it depends on my own setup? The problem doesn't occur permanently.

Kirk

Hi again!

I found a new (or not yet discovered) bug in the playlist. For example when playing the 5th song of the playlist and I remove one or more songs in the playlist before (1st to 4th song) - then the next song which the player starts to play will not be the 6th, but the 7th, 8th, etc. - this is an issue that should be fixed.

Then I noticed that it is an unlucky decision to place the "clear" button directly next to the "remove" button - one click by mistake and the complete playlist is gone. Maybe it would be better to place the "clear" button below the "search" button - at least far away from the commonly used ones?

Captain Kirk

There was a problem with 'Remove' messing up the list order, but it was fixed. Are you able to reproduce it with the latest version?

I used v1.0.8 which is the current version on your download site. It happens with that version.

Hi!

Could you already reproduce the bug?

So long,
