I am also using the 14 days free trial version of this program version 1.2.16 and I am having a problem too. i am trying to compress to mpeg2 and avi (uncompressed or divx). i tried all possibilities (avi to mpeg2 ,mpeg2 to mpeg2.avi to avi, mpeg to avi (divx and uncompressed )The video background stops and sometimes it would flash on and off.
mpeg1 works but the quality is bad with some stuttering.
I am also using a PlV 2.8Ghz 800mhz with 1g ram.
any solution for this problem?
Thank you and I hope to resolve this problem soon before buying it. |

when creating mpeg2 dvd extension quality PAL 25fps, the background video stops and jumps. |

Please try version 1.2.17 -- we have changed the background video code. If it still hangs, please post back or send me an email. _________________ Piotr

i downloaded the 1.2.17 version.
i must admit that the quality has improved
but the background still jumps especially when i make mpeg2.
when i make divx avi, the result is slightly better but still the video jumps and stops.
regarding that the video clips i'm working on are between 2 to 7 minutes, the stopping and jumping shows very clearly.
should i be expecting another version or do u have any advice about whats going on?

This was one of the nasties bugs ever Some more coding resulted in version 1.2.19 -- we have tested background videos and were unable to find any problems on our machines. Please give it a try. _________________ Piotr

version 1.2.18 is a complete disaster.
if i can get through the program crashing or the creating file stopping anytime, any successful tryout would result in the same jumping and stopping video.
looking out for the 1.2.19 version?
should i cross my fingers? |

1.2.19 is not working.
when i try making mpeg2 file, the program crashes immediately.
when i try making avi (divx or uncompressed) , it opens an active movie window and program stops responding.
i have a very stable system and i'm trying all the possibilities.
still bad results
i think the best version so far is 1.2.17
if its possible to fix the mpeg2 or avi rendering quality, it would be the best thing to do.
still waiting for a solution |

What video format are you using as a background? It looks like some video formats are not working properly (MPEG-2 is often causing this) -- the solution is to re-encode the background video using DivX AVI. _________________ Piotr

I am sorry, but I have to admit I do not know what might be the reason. Maybe you have FFDShow filter installed on your machine? One of our customers reported that it has caused problems with our software.
We will investigate the issue, but at the moment I cannot provide you any solution. I am very sorry about it. _________________ Piotr
