When I import lyrics from text file, this program shuts down.

I'm using Windows XP, CDRWIN trial version & Power Karaoke trial version.

Which version of PowerKaraoke are you using? Is it 1.2.16?

hey there!
seems like i am having the same problem... i am using the 1.2.16 trial version.

i set an mp3 as soundtrack, add a .mpg as background and import a .txt file... and then it crashes... and it happened with all the songs i tried...

can i get some help please? thanks...

Hi,

I downloaded PK 1.2.17 & was able to import a text file. But, when I tried a second time it crashed again. Same crash. I then deleted PK & re-installed but it still crashed.

Let me know what you find out.

Are you loading a sondtrack prior to importing lyrucs? If yes is it MP3 or WAV? Also does the software crash when you import lyrics straight after you start PowerKaraoke?

I have downloaded lyrics first & am using wav. files on the soundtrack.

Yes, I do this when I first open Powerkaraoke.

I just tried loading soundtrack first & then lyrics with no avail.

soundtracks are MP3 no wav files. Still get error.

I am still having the problem with PK shutting down when I import lyrics.

Annette,

I have not received the text file from you, so I am not sure what might be the exact cause. But we have discovered that '-' (dash) characters in the lyrics can cause problems. We hope to address this issue next week.
