I can play regular karaoke discs and ripped bin files but when I try to play a ripped cdg+mp3 file it crashes (my from the same disc / same day) I re-installed the player - same problem. Always get that it's encountered a ploblem and needs to close
Any suggestions??

Does it happen to any MP3+G file? Have you tried playing regular MP3s?

Downloaded all DirectX updates and still not working on hard drive files - not sure it it's related but in your avi converter (power cdg to video) - I can convert them from a standard cdg disc but not from the hard drive files - it gives me a "cannot open soundtrack file" error message

Looks like there is a problem with MP3 playback. Do you have FFDShow filter installed on your computer?

You would see a little icon that says FFD in the system tray when you play AVI videos.
