|
|
I asume so, i only downloaded it today . The files are mpg. I am clicking on the master button on the top toolbar & then going to create video file. Then i tick background image/video... actually i just realized the output files says 'mpeg', not mpg. Is this why it is happening!? If so, i have a file converter to make it mpeg. Will this work? Plz help |

| I am not sure about video, but with the 8 bit color or whatever it is that karaoke players read, I highly doubt that it would work. |

Oh really? In the description it says that it "alows karaoke lyrics on top of a filmclip". This is the link

I'm not sure but that is the only reason i would buy it if it did that so if someone knows that it allows video, please comment. |

So it does.
Hmm, I am no expert i am just guessing.
My disks made recently worked perfectly once the proper burner settings were given to me by www.karaokepilot.com which sells burners along with the same software sold here.
I guess I am not sure about video, it would be cool though. |

pcs800, what you are saying is true for CD+G. Power Video Karaoke allows to create karaoke videos for DVD or VideoCD. Or to play on a computer. _________________ Piotr

kittyangelbubblegum, please do not use this large font. I can read it just fine with the regular one. _________________ Piotr

| Sorry about that Piotr. Hey, it does allow you to put video in the background. I was trying to use the mpeg output format. I tried to save it with AVI output format & it worked. Thanku so much. The quality is not superb but it's ok. Do u think the quality will be improved if i convert the file to mpg now or if i had converted it to avi to begin with? |

Note that he said it will work with video cd or dvd, not karaoke disks.
Now you are getting into plain old video production, which is always better quality at an uncompressed format.
Not to knock this software, but if I were to do this, I think I would use something like Edit Studio which is made for producing high quality video. |

Will it be compressed or uncompressed using power video karaoke? To be honest with you the quality came out quite good the other night. The bigger problem with it was the the sync of the lyrics. The space bar was doing it's own thing. Any tips on that?
Yeah, my goal is definitely to make videos. I just want to add all my karaoke lyrics to the filmclips/live performances of songs i sing & share them with friends on youtube. The program you mentioned, have u used it? Is it free to download?
Thanku 4 ur input. |

In Compression settings you may choose uncompressed video. But DivX (it is MPEG-4) compression should be good enough, it is better than DVD quality for the files of the same size. _________________ Piotr

I looked in the video settings under compression but i could not find the options you mentioned - divX or no compression. I could only see a video compression format. |

If the quality is fine, and it's just for youtube, which converts to very low quality flash files anyway, don't bother with video editing software.
When I create karaoke files, I use the space bar and ctrl (i think), as they are the default for start and stop. I always have to go in afterwards and edit where words start and stop, it's too hard to do it perfectly the first time through for me. |

Go to 'Video Settings' dialog box and click 'Compression' dialog box next to 'Frames per second'. There you will be able to choose the codec (if XviD or DivX is not listed there you may download it from www.free-codecs.com) and use 'Configure' button to fine tune the compression. _________________ Piotr

| Does anyone know where the karaokepilot.com site went? Does he have a nother one? He gave me some settings to use with power cd+g burner that allowed my burned disks to play on ordinary karaoke players, I of course do not remember those settings after updating the software. |
