I've been using Pro for sometime now with no problems, then last night for no apparent reason at my regular Wednesday gig when I pressed buttons, "settings" for example, the errror message "Siglos Karaoke Professional has encountered a problem and needs to close" came up with the "send" "don't send" error report buttons, fortunatley I have back-up with a second laptop and Pro is on there.
I need to know what I have to do to rectify this problem, and where I can get the codes from if they are needed. My email addy is thenarrator@bigfoot.com
Thanks.

Last night at my regular Saturday night booking my Siglos Pro, for some weird and unknown reason decided not to play ball, it seemed to be frozen and if clicked a button it would close and the "Send"/"Don't Send" box popped up, very similar to the first post in this thread.
I tried re-installing but that to did'nt work. In the end I left it and used my backup laptop which has Siglos-Pro on it which I very fortunatley have (take note fellow KJ's, get backup).
I got home in the early hours this morning, I completley uninstalled & then downloaded from the Power Karaoke site the latest version of Siglos Pro.
It too would not run, just flashed on & off screen for a brief second. I am now at a loss as to what to do.
I came on to this forum looking for answers and I stumbled across this thread with the following link on it:
http://www.powerkaraoke.com/download/siglospro_default.reg
I clicked on that link and lo & behold I had a working Siglos Pro again, no songs in it off course and it was in default state but at least it was a working bit of software.
Two questions please?
1.
I last used the referred to laptop/Siglos Pro 3 nights ago on Wednesday with no problems. At the end of the night I switched it off, packed it away and the next time I turned it on was last night to be greeted with the above. Any ideas what caused the problem.
2.
I have downloaded the bit of software from the above link (I think it's called Siglos Pro Default) and it's now in a folder on my laptop, how would I use it if the same thing happens again at a gig, the only way I used it this morning was to click on the link from this thread?.
Any help much appreciated and thanks to all at Power Karaoke for your products, I think they are fantastic and I have recommended them to many a person.
Cheers.

Which version of Siglos are you using? Do you have your karaoke songs on the external drive? If so, please make sure the drive letter does not change after reconnecting the drive.
Regarding the file, you may save it on the hard drive, and use when necessary. _________________ Adam

Hi Adam
I am aware of the drive letter issue and that was not the cause of the problem.
Initially at my gig on Saturday I could not get Siglos to do anything, it appeared on screen in it's usual state but when I clicked any button, for example the "New Session" button it crashed and closed down, I then un-installed and re-installed it but I did not in fact get a new installation, the same Siglos appeared as the one I had un-installed, I know this as the same singers were in the rotation section from the last time I used it on the previous Wednesday a few days earlier, hence the need to press the "New Session" button I refer to above.
I switched to my second laptop in the end and I was able to do my gig.
When I got home after the gig I un-installed Siglos again from the first laptop, I went on to the Powerkaraoke website and downloaded the latest version of Siglos to it, when I pressed the icon on the desktop to start the newly downloaded Siglos it flashed on and off and would not start. It was then I clicked on the "Return To Default" link within this thread and it was only then did I get it run.
I cannot be 100% sure of the version number on the first laptop but I think it was 1.2.43, it was the first version to have the tempo changer on it and I think it came out earlier this year. I had an earlier version on the second laptop as I had never got round to updating it. Both laptops have now got version 1.2.60 on them.
Thanks for your interest.

Please do the following:
1. Run the program
2. Click in the program main window
3. Press Ctrl+Shift+L
4. Message "Log enabled" should appear
5. Restart the program
6. Follow the actions leading to the problem
7. Exit the program
8. Go to My Documents (or Documents on Vista) -- you will find "sigloslog.txt" file there. Please email it to support@powerkaraoke.com, and describe the case or refer to this topic. _________________ Adam

Thanks for replies Adam.
Sorry to be a pain in the you know what but I'm not too sure what is "the main window" in Siglos Pro you tell me to click in in your last post, could you please clarify?
I also have to inform you that I have downloaded the lateset version of Siglos Pro and it appears to be running fine, will there be a sigloslog.txt file in existance?l |

The main windows is the one with Siglos Karaoke Professional title bar.
Regarding your question, yes, the log file will be created, but if the error does not occur the log will not contan the error print. _________________ Adam

Thanks Adam
As I mentioned earlier the Siglos Pro that gave me the problem has gone as I downloaded the lastest version last week, I used the newly download Siglos at my Wednesday night residency last night and apart from one lock up where Siglos froze and I had to close it down and start it up again there was no problem, unless the lock up I refer to is somehow or other connected to the problem I had last week.
Thanks.
