I work in a Geriatric ward in a psyciatric hospital. I use power karaoke to make cd's with the favorite songs of the patients so they can sing along with all the oldies they want, many of which are not available in regular karaoke versions. I use the regular music with the singing on them to make what we call " Gerioke " so they can sing along and not have to worry about sounding good but only having a good time. When the patients are acting upset and loud, I pop in a "gerioke" cd and they seem to quiet right down and enjoy the music. They love it !
