Screen Resolutions

Post by djgaryc »

Hi all.

I try and use venue tv's as the external monitors rather than mine as it looks better on the wall. The issues I'm facing is as Greene King refurbish their pubs, they are changing the Tv's to LG 4k.

I use HP envy machines whichwill work 4k tv's perfectly untill I try and full screen the second display. The screen only goes 1/8th of the screen resolution in the top left. How can I fix this without telling the the laptop to reduce the screen resolution. - I've just set up and had to tell the tv resolution to be 600x800 so the software goes "full screen".... looks poor though, massive black bands down either side of the screen.

1024 didn't go full screen
1080 didn't go full screen
1280 didn't go full screen
1980... You get the idea.

I use HDMI to send signal to the Tv's.

How can I sort this?

Please try to resize the screen with the mouse to match the display instead of using full screen. You may store the setting using "Use current position" button in File -> Settings -> Display.

I'll give it a go.

So drag the external display over to the secondary screen then do the mouse thing to resize? - I have done this before I think.... can't remember it looking very good.

Thanks :)
