when we have enough requests to finish the night, we have a few options currently.
1) click "Freeze".
this works, but still allows people to go through the entire request process and gives a small message in the same way that is shows the request was sent. The problem becomes that people don't notice it is different at all and since they went through the process like normal think it was added.
2) click "Go Offline".
This also works, but only shows a white screen and tiny letters saying "server is offline".
the normal reaction from many people nightly is to come over and tell me "hey....it says your server is offline" because it makes no sense to them...granted being intoxicated doesn't help.
my ideas that I see
1) when clicking "Freeze", have the no more song's message appear when they click on the song in place of the normal "request slip" page.
this way they can not continue to attempt submission of the request and it is blatantly obvious to them why.
as usual with my ideas, continue the customization options you have added into everything by allowing us to write the message in whatever verbiage the host prefers to keep consistency throughout the user interface.
2) when clicking "Go Offline", allow an image to show on the remote system, stating we have enough requests.
something as simple as if-then with the checkbox like happens in the custom announcement screen.
if checked, display this image file and refresh the remote screen. Much like what happens with the auto refresh in the search screens.
again, this allows with keeping consistency in the user interface to match whatever the individual host company wishes to display.
