Thanks for your reply. As suggested I tried with the Siglos Player. When I try and play either the ripped cdg or direct from the CD it 'plays' but with no sound and no lyrics. I checked and it works fine with some existing cdg/mp3 files that I bought direct. I tried with CD's from 3 different vendor...

They contain something as they are 1.2MB but I can't tell if they actually have lyrics
