The DVD discs you are mentioning are probably Super CDG by CAVS. Super CDG is CAVS proprietary format (incompatible with CDG standard), and our software does not support it.

You might have been misled. In general, the CDG standard does not support any compression, so it is not possible to create a CDG disc containing compressed karaoke tracks. What files are you trying to open -- BIN or CDG+MP3? If it is the second case, please make sure the MP3 file is located in the same folder as CDG.
