Power CDG Burner don't accept MP3

I am running Win.8.1 and have installed Power CDG Burner and lame but it still does allow me to use mp3's. It shows
lame_enc_dll in the Doblon programs folder. I just copied it there to put it in the folder also copied and pasted it there. Is there a certain version of lame that has to be used or could someone tell me what I am doing wrong. For now I have converted all mp3 to wave and that works, but I would like to be able to use mp3. Also it is an old version of Power CDG Burner. Ver.1.3.9 Thank you for any help you can offer.
