After updating to version 1.2.48 the lyrics advance feature in the general options disappeared. Did this happen to anyone else?

You are correct, for some reason it was dropped from the build. We will post version 1.2.49 later today that will fix this.

And yet you were not correct
Lyrics advance setting is available in Display section of Settings.
