I am fairly new to this business and I am setting up my Karaoke on my computer. Can someone tell me about NEO+G disks, can I rip them with Power CD+G Software?

If not, might we see this in an update

Thanks to all

As far as I know NEO+G is fancy name for DivX-encoded AVI files. Power CD+G to AVI Converter will convert CD+G files to that format.

I tried this and the converter did the job. However, does anyone know the file format for NEO+G discs? There is some control file that needs to be created as well (.IFO or .INFO something) for the RSQ player to recognize the disc as a NEO+G.

Thanks. It it a DVD content file. So I guess dedicated DVD authoring software is needed to create it.

Burning Neo-G discs

I am trying to make one with the software, and when it is built it gives me a DAT file and the other text file. Do I need to convert this DAT or just burn it as is, and do I also need to burn the other file created. The instructions from RSQ are not the best, and do not mention file format or what is needed to burn. Thanks for any light you can shed on this.

What software are you using to read and burn this discs? Power CD+G Burner works for CD+G discs only.

I am using the Neo-G creator software. I use Power CDG burner for other apps, but am trying to make a large compilation disk. Any tips on burning a dat file and the other data file to make it readable to a player?

To make a Neo+G disk is fairly simple but takes awhile
I use Power CDG Burner to Rip the CDG disks into two files
That has a .cdg and .mp3 file format
Next you take these files and enter them into the
RMC.exe file you get from RSQ website
After finishing converting them to NEO+G format
you just take the files it created and burn them to a
DVD-R or DVD+R disk as you would burn any data disk
I used Easy Media Creator and everything worked fine
and the disk worked great in the player.
Hope this helps????

how many songs do you get on a dvd

I am sorry, but we do not support Neo+G, nor I know of any converter available. What files are on the disc?

It would be nice to have mp3 encoding function in Karaoke CD-G Creator. Because I'm using NEO+G disks and to create them I must have CDG + MP3 file pairs (and it would be good for archiving purproses too).
