Windows Media Player has stopped working (Power CD+G Filter)

Post by grcook00 »

Hi,

I recently purchased the Power CD+G Filter for Windows Media Player. It runs great, and I am happy with its performance, except for the following problem:

When I use it to play karaoke, the entire song plays and displays as expected. However, when I continue to use WMP for playing regular MP3's, WMP crashes while playing a song; it may not be the next one, but two or three later. This problem does not surface until after I have played a karaoke title (using either the .cdg/.mp3 or .bin version), so I can only assume that it has to do with the Power CD+G Player plugin.

The exception popup window contains the following information:

Windows Media Player has stopped working
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.

This situation is constant and reproduceable on my laptop (and, when I close the window, Windows never does notify me that a solution is available). I am using Vista Home Edition SP1 and WMP Product Version 11.0.6000.6324.

Has anyone else experienced this problem? More importantly, is there a fix for it? Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Thank you,
Geoff Cook

We will try to reproduce it, but have not had similar reports from other users.
