CDG+Creator: Vocal Remover halves song length?

Post by Chimaera2000 »

I've attempted to strip the vocals from an .mp3 file of Lady Antebellum's "Long Gone" (length 3:22). The soundtrack sounds acceptable in the preview. However, when the Vocal Remover removes the vocals, the new soundtrack has been sped up greatly to reduce the song's length to 1:44. I've not had this happen with any other song.

What suggestions do you have?

It appears your mp3 file is a 22 khz file instead of 44 khz as required for digital audio. When you play your 22 khz file @ 44, the result is chipmunks. To get rid of your chipmunks, resample or convert your 22 khz file to 44 khz.

For best results devocalizing, always use a fresh ripped wav file. Oh yeah... @ 44khz.

Thanks kindly! I'll try converting it to the higher frequency.
