Singer Brings in a Sound Choice CD

Post by KayJay2010 »

I have a singer she brought in a sound choice CD and Karaoke Pro could not read it in my laptop.

Now I have Sound Choice discs from an older unit that read them fine but I can't get KP to read them at all.

What am I doing wrong? I don't want to have to rip them just to get them to play or do I?

thanks

There were a couple SC disk that came out and had Media Cloq protection.

Can you actually play the disk on a computer (regular audio) with any other program?

They play as a regular .cda format with no lyrics just the music.

They can be ripped but I don't want to take the chance of it impacting the show and have everything come to a standstill if the system resources get eaten up by ripping and singers singing.

So I have no idea of where to go from here. Any suggestions?

It may be the CD/DVD drive you have does not read CD+G data properly. In such case the only solution is to replace the drive with the one that does, for example Pioneer or Plextor.
