slow data base
Ive been doingthe data base for 1.5 days slow i have 314,00 songs but use other program it takes about a hr for data base.. also when i look up songs it takes 2 min.. could be way faster
Adam I have an dell studio with i7 processor 8 gig of memory and I just redid my data base and it took almost 24hrs this is faster than it use to be but still very slow. i have a program call search everything and it will load create a data base for my computer and two external hard drives with 300,000 plus songs on each of them, in about 5 minutes or less. There really should be something that could be done to speed up the loading process. I know once it is complete you shouldn't have to load it again but i am doing a lot of editing and removing songs and if I call up a removed song for my hard drive and it has been remove it causes the program to crash. So after removing so many of them I have to re due the data base. I do have the scan Id turned off.
speed
i will try that, how ever i did use it on a show and it crashed bout 3/4 thru my show so i used the program i have used fro the last 4 years. its less expencive but does not have some of the cool features yours has. but it never crashes. also some of my song list never shows up and i check them and they are typed correctly so if i type in disc # they will show.. if theres any way you can speed up data base that would be great. may be a cause of some of the crashed due to prosseser use. this alp top is older but its a 2.4 with 4 gig mem and i run 2 or three other dj kj programs at a time and it runs fine. never chrashes..... dont get me wrong i love the extra features you have on this just needs tweeks so all of us can use with out crashes and quicker data base loads...wehave to stay up by keep getting more music of this industry will die out... then we all loose out...
