I have been using Power CD+G 2 since December 2012, have burned multiple CD+G's and everything was fine until recently.
When burning a disc (CDG files), everything seems to run fine (no errors, etc) but once burned the disc's music tracks skip... the words come across fine, but every song skips about 10-15 secs into the song and several times after that. So a ~3:30 song is only ~45 secs/1 min or so.
Here's what I have tried and failed to work:
- Changing the settings (pretty much every way possible I think) and then burning several times (I have about 20 CDs that I need to throw away that didn't work)
- Burning on 1x speed w/ several different settings
- Re-downloaded some songs again (almost all from "buy karaoke downloads" website)
- Tried re-burning a few song lists I did before that worked fine before, but this time I got the partial music tracks.
- Played several of the MP3 Tracks by themselves and they are full tracks (3 mins or so, but when burned I am only getting ~45 secs of the songs due to multiple skips throughout).
Other Notes:
- Tried burning a music CD in Itunes and it worked fine, so there shouldn't be anything wrong with the burner itself.
- Using the exact same CDs (same spindle as the successful CDs I've made)
- I can't remember if I was able to successfully burn anything since upgrading my software to 2.0.4 - I don't think I have... so could be a bug in the update?
- Previously burned CD+Gs still work fine in my karaoke machine (RSQ) and other bought discs work fine as well, so shouldn't be a problem with the machine itself.
- Definitely have pinpointed the issue to only getting some of the MP3 music file but all of the graphics file when burning.
Sorry so long, trying to get all the details in here... Hoping it is an easy fix, it worked great for several months and I love it!
Out of idea's of what to try, maybe re-download the software?

Forgot to mention that I was able to rip a store bought CD+G yesterday (as BIN files) and then burned a copy from those BIN files. The CD works great, no problems. So must be some kind of disconnect with burning the .cdg & .mp3 files??
As mentioned in the original post, but just to clarify how the disc's that skip behave:
The song starts and the words/graphics are fine. About 10-15 secs in, the music skips but the words are still fine. As the words scroll like normal there are various skips in the music throughout the song and then the song ends prematurely.
For example, I made a disc of 14 songs that should have been around 55 mins in length, but the total disc time is only 17 mins or so.
And quickly - looking over the log file, the only thing that stood out to me that was different between the working CDs & the bad CDs isa line that reads:
"Samples to write = 9660765"
These appear in the bad CDs but I didn't see this line in the working CDs.
That's about all I the info I have, hope it helps. Heck, I'm really hoping it is something simple I have just overlooked.
Thanks!
