Database not showing new preset-lists

Hello,

My name is Alain Govaert. I live in Belgium. I am a registered user of PowerKaraoke now for several years and am very satisfied with the program. I am a crooner and use this program to make my presets for gigs. I upgraded to the latest version recently.

Today I was trying to add a new presetlist with songs for a gig as I always do. If I click the “Add Current” button, it gives me a window where I enter the titel of the list.

I enter a titel for the list and click "ok" and I can see the list with that titel in the left column. Now when I close the program and open it again and I want to load the list, the list isn’t there anymore. It's gone.

The existing list from before are still there, I can’t seem to delete them also. I tried this a few times and sometimes the list is updated, and sometimes not?

Can anybody help me please?

Just one other quick question: can I downgrade? Can I install a previous version, when I already installed the latest one?

Because I haven't used Rotation Preset, I'll have to play with it for a bit before I can comment on your problem. As far as your second question, yes, you can always downgrade to any previous version. The one requirement is you'll need the setup for the version you want. I hope you saved your past version setup program. Power Karaoke doesn't have a section to re-download past versions.

What you could try first is to run this script

It will reset SKP to the original settings so you will have to reset all your customize settings. Take some screen shots of your settings and after running the script just look at your screenshots and reset your KP to the way you like it. Running this script will sometimes clear problems that KP encounters every now and then. Save this script somewhere so you'll have it handy should you ever have to reset KP.

I didn't save my previous install-files.
I thought they had a section, good to know now

Its a pitty, but it didn't help.
Like you said it resets everything (I took snapshots )
I think I'll try installing a previous version, I found my original (11.05.2015).
Hopfully I can use the presets again then.

I got a workaround, but it is very time consuming.
I hope they find a solution.

I will make a detailed pdf with what I do to show you what happens now, maybe that can help in finding out what solution there can be.

Thx mate, but sadly, nothing changed.

I even did a very clean new install, deleted the old database with everything in it. Tried again, I can save 1 preset and he remebers it. The second preset, again, is lost after saving it, closing the window and trying to load it again. It just doesn't show up

But as I said, I'm gonna make a good detailed movie about what I do and send it in as a help request, we"ll see...

The movie thing sounds like a great idea. This way they'll be no misunderstanding of the problem you're encountering.

Still trying some things here, I installed V. 2.0.27. That is the only version thats in my backup. Everything seems to work great again.

Sorry, but I'm not going back again to the later versions. It is to important form me to be able to create playlists & presets.

Anyway, as I am going to buy a Mac in 2017, because I am very much into VJ'ing to, I will not be using this program anymore. I loved the program but it isn't available for Apple...

If youre on pc, this is the best thing I ever could use for my crooning gigs..

Hope to find a app on Mac that gives me the same possibilities

Isn't there a program to run windows on a mac? I think it was called boot camp, but don't quote me. If you can install it, you'll be able to still run your Karaoke Pro.
