SOngs not found in database after upgrade to version 2.0.52
Last week before a show I upgraded to ver 2.0.52. Prior to the upgrade everything was working fine. After the upgrade the software says it cannot find the songs. The songs show up for me to select. The title screen for the song shows but the song wont play. One show was ruined. Please help before I have to cancel another show
I'm assuming you are using Windows 10 as your OS. Right click the "This PC" icon on your desktop and select "manage." Under Computer Management (Local) expand the "Storage" header by clicking on the ">" then select "Disk Management." You will now be able to see all of your harddrives and their associated drive letter. Right click on the drive that contains your karaoke music and select "Change Drive Letter and Paths." On the popup, click on the "Change" button. On the right of "Assign the following drive letter" click on the down arrow and select the drive letter that you used when importing your karaoke songs. That's it, now SKP will be able to find your songs.

Cant find songs, not seeing entire directory, not responding
I have used this software for a long time and have been through many upgrades. I have sworn by this software to many people. HOWEVER, This upgrade, 2.0.52 has been the most troubling. Befor this update, everything was fine. IT HAS NOT WORKED SMOOTHLY, since I moved to this new version. Cant find songs, not seeing entire directory, not responding, crashing. All of these issues are show killers.
I NEED A SOLUTION asap.

something may have gone a little haywire with the update.
i would suggest trying the regstry script, it will reset everything to factory default.
first, copy your siglos db file to the desktop (it is in Documents > My Karaoke)
take quick pictures of your current settings to make it quick after the reset
then run this script
http://www.powerkaraoke.com/download/si ... efault.reg
move the siglos db file from the desktop to the Documents > My Karaoke folder and reset your settings.
i have had an update go goofy like that and this script has been the repair.

Phil, just remember that when SKP goes a little wacko, running the script that Paradigm suggested more times than not will clear the problem. The only thing is that the script will reset SKP to default so you will have to go back into your settings and set it up the way you had it. Hope things run smoothly for you.

Phil, that is totally up to you. Maybe it would be a good idea to run the script and start out fresh. Don't forget to write down your setting preferences or take screen shots. I'm glad things are working out for you because SKP is an awesome program and it keeps getting better!Phil C wrote:Thanks everyone for your help.
Hornet, should I run the script now anyway or wait untok something goes haywire?
Thanks

I ran the script and found out that the update I was working with was not complete. The interface was totally different after I ran the script. So yes, the update did go haywire. Even though the problems I experienced seemed to be resolved, there may have been other issues under the surface that were waiting to emerge. Everything is working smoothly now AND I am learning the features that I did not know existed.
Thanks for the help.

is there supposed to only be this one line in the reg file?Paradigm Karaoke wrote:something may have gone a little haywire with the update.

???? Thanks in advance
Problem i am having is the database keeps messing up with newest ver of siglos pro. ie next time i go to do a show there are no files in it for some reason or singers are missing or some songs are missing etc. Do you think this will fix that to or is there something else that might be wrong?
