I think the playlist order issue is the one we have fixed in the release we are currently working on. It occurred when disabling the singer that thas about to sing. The new build will be out in a day or two (with one new feature you requested, more info on that when it is done).

I tried your new version and the first thing it wanted to do was validate my songs. I ran the validation feature and when I got to 66% the program stopped. Piotr, I sent the log to you and hopefully it'll be an easy fix.

Darn, I forgot to add this new function to the log. Please run again (it should be much faster for the second time) using this version:

http://www.powerkaraoke.com/download/20 ... -setup.exe

I suspect that there are files that cause Siglos to hang/crash. You may look inside the new log -- one of the last lines should contain the name of the file. You may send it to me for examination.

Piotr, you are the man! I looked at the log and took a look at the last karaoke file that was listed. Since it's a zipped file I unzipped it and noticed there's another zipped karaoke file that was along side my Mp3+G file. Not sure how it got there, but I deleted the file and re-zipped my Mp3+G and it did the trick! Finished re-validating without a problem thanks to your hard work!

You wouldn't happen to have the copy of the file? It should not hang Siglos, it would be good to fix the problem.

i had the same results.
inside the last file that made it hang, there was a zipped mp3g inside the zipped mp3g.

here is one

after removing the offending extra zip, it updated fine.
15,525 songs took about an hour to rescan (is that an appropriate amount of time?)

Thanks for the file. Yes, the time it took looks OK. Siglos needed to check the length of every file and it is now stored in the database.

Sorry Piotr, I've already cleaned up the zipped file and deleted the culprit.

I got one from Paradigm, but cannot reproduce the problem. Will try some more, but for now let's enjoy that it is working smoothly :)

Paradigm, did you give Piotr the zip file that had the other zip file within it? Because prior to me cleaning up the messed up zipped file every time I ran the validate it would hang up. If it's the bad copy of the zipped file I'm not sure why it doesn't do the same thing for Piotr

I did, that's what makes it so weird. It was the exact problem you had.
