I can't find where to paste my new unlock code

Hey, I cant' find where to paste my new unlock code.
When I go to the Help icon the Unlock is grayed out.
I'm still getting the license expired message popup.
Running latest version.

Please open Help -> Unlock while keeping CTRL key pressed.

Thank you, The instruction on the email said to us the SHIFT key. Here is a copy paste of a part of the email.

"If your current unlock code is still valid you may re-enter the new code. To do this you need to select Help menu while holding down SHIFT key and then select Unlock command."
