Timing of draw and erase

Post by DJ Purple »

Is there any way to adjust when lines get drawn and erased?

What is a name of the program you are referring to? Karaoke CD+G Creator? You may select lyrics in lyrics editor, and shift them on a soundtrack timeline using the mouse with left key pressed.

Thanks Adam! Whoops, yeah I wasn't specific enough:

Yes, Karaoke CDG Creator Pro. I understand how to adjust the swiping, but now would like to be able to adjust when the words are drawn and erased - when the words first appear on the screen, and then (after they are swiped and sung) when they get erased

You may use events to do this. Please see the following link for instruction on using events:

I looked through all of the event options and don't see a way to control the timing of lyric drawing.

For example, sometimes it helps to not display an upcoming line so soon, when there is a tricky lyric, to make sure singers focus on the difficult line and not get distracted thinking about the line coming next until a little later than the default timing.

If you want to keep an empty screen, you may use Clear Screen event, type in an empty line with separator characters, and synchronize it, so that the lyrics screen will remain empty until regular lyrics are supposed to appear.
