you fixed it Piotr, that works perfectly.
thank you for all your hard work on this, it is a great feature to keep SKP at the top of the heap.
before putting it out as an official release, may i suggest hiding the singers last names on the current queue? this is the only real problem they have mentioned to me.

I second this suggestion! This is a good recommendation to implement prior to releasing the official version of KP. The important thing is, is that this is a suggestion the singers are asking for and I'm sure Piotr can whip this out blind folded and hands tied behind his back.

They should not appear since version .30. Can you please verify that this is still happening?

Please do the following:
1. Copy the old database onto the new (empty) one
2. Right click 'siglos.db' (the one you copied over), select General
3. Make sure that 'Read only' is disabled
This should do the trick.

Piotr, it is still happening. I went back and reinstalled as far back as version 28, 29, 30, 32, and 33 and the name that was entered in the parenthesis was displayed in the remote's current queue. The name in the parenthesis was not displayed on the singer's screen or the singer's preview screen.
The new song list is still only displaying one song for an artist even though two or more songs was added.

What about this one?
https://www.powerkaraoke.com/download/2 ... -setup.exe
On my test systems it displays new songs correctly, also singer surnames are hidden.

Piotr did you get the email I sent you with the screenshots of what I am seeing? I have even tried using older backed up database files and I either get songs with no singers or singers with no songs (mainly singers but no songs). The songs are visible in some spots but not in the manage songs dialog window

Does it work if you run Siglos as Administrator?

And no, I did not get the screenshots or I have missed them. But I was able to reproduce the problem, it is definitely connected with access rights.

They were pasted into the email not as attachments just the log files were attachments. They were shots of the messages and windows that showed as I tried different things including all your suggestions.
So how do I fix it? Or do you fix it from your end?

Let's try this:
1. Make sure that database points to Documents / My karaoke
2. Unzip one of the backup databases that you know worked and overwrite siglos.db with it
3. Make sure that it is not read only
4. Run Siglos as Administrator
If this helps, run again as regular user.

Done that with a couple of different ones...same results. Reinstalled 28 and everything shows as it should soon as I install 29 or higher it goes back to seeing all my singers and their histories but no songs in the manage songs dialog

Tomorrow I will prepare a version with extra debugging that will give me more info on what is going on. But please send me your current log if you may.
