skp .44 crashing and mess up rotation list.

Post by Dana48457 »

For the last couple of weeks, I have an Issue with the singer rotation. had a crash and had to restart the program. When restarting the program the rotation list comes up and some of the singers art there as they should be and others have had their name replaced with a number (1) (2), their name still shows on the song monitor the way is should but I can't add songs to their name as it is no longer there. I have to delete the number (1) and them re-add the singer. I have had small rotations the last couple of weeks so I was able to remember the rotation and fix it. When things pick up again and I have a larger number of singers this is no good as it will mess the rotation up and piss the singers off. Not sure why this is happening or what to do but need to get this taken care of. Any Ideas?

It would really help if you could at least make a screenshot of how rotation changes and/or your database. I will try to find the reason of the problem, but additional info would be a great help.

it is not what causes the crash that is causing the issue as it has locked up and/or crashed from a number different reasons and I just use task manager to end program and then restart the program and the program comes back up and I will have a number maybe 4 or 5 at the top of the list that will have their names in the rotation just as they should be and it seems that it is new singers that I have added that night that are not in the history data base who's name does not come back up in the rotation list. They have been replace by the numbers. Their name still shows up on the monitor as the singer performing. I can not add a new song to them so I have to delete them from the rotation list and go through the add new singer again. Also they are not in the singer history so I have to treat them as totally new singer. Screen shots are hard to get as I am running a show and have to get up and running ASAP to keep the crowd happy. Never done a screen shot so not sure how to take one

Version 2.0.45 released today should preserve rotation correctly. Please give it a try.

Will do thanks. Not sure if this could have part of the issue or not but found out I was very low on Memory. Tried to add a singer last night and a message popped up that the program was out of memory. I had to delete singers and songs from history before I could add any new singers or songs. I am going to spend the weekend clean up the program. Is there any way to increase the memory. without deleting history????

The number of singers should not have impact on memory usage -- it is mostly related to playback and background images. What are your computer specs? Also are you running any other software at the same time? You may check memory usage using Task Manager.

So far so good! New version seems to be working fine and History is working as it should.
