Losing singers when crashing. Old Problum new version

Post by Dana48457 »

Had a job tonight after updating to version .52 and when program locked up and I had to restart it again, I lost all the new singers that were not in history and all their songs. They were also no history on them when I wanted to re-add them to the rotation. I had around 20 new singers as this was a new gig and it didn't go over good. We had this issue once before and it was fixed, at least I thought it was. Love the program and talked a guy into buying it even after this issue but hope you can get it fixed ASAP

This definitely should not happen -- even if software crashed the rotation should be saved, this is one of the things we worked on recently. I will make sure that this is fixed. I am very sorry for the inconvenience.

What were you doing before the software locked?

was in the Process of moving singers spot rotation. That was another issue if I added a song for singers it would change the spot in the rotation if they had no song in cue. Don't think it did it on every singer just the new ones not already in history.

Just remembered that when I got to gig after downloading and installing new program I had lost my database also Had to unzip and install the back up data base. Today I tried to go back to version .50 to see if it would fix problem until you guys could come up with fix for new version and I lost data base again and had to install a back up again. Don't know if this is part of the issue or not.

Ok been working with this for a while off and on today and found that I lose the new singers when I shut down using the task manager that I have to use whenever the program locks up. I loaded different versions of the program all the way back to .45 and they all lost the history of new singers that were not in history or new songs added to those singers in the current session. If I shut down normally then everything seems to go into the history as it should. Hope this helps I have a big job this Friday and Sat at a new venue would love to see this fixed before then if at all possible.

Ok I tried it on the computer I use for work and it did not work so I got out backup computer and tried it it worked on backup so checked work computer again and download still didn't work I am doing a restore to point a month ago to see if that will help from what I can see looks like it may have something to do with the task manager on the work computer. Will keep you informed unless you have some Idea as to what to do. Both computers are win 10.

Been a long day working on this. Tried many different things, finally tried restoring computer to an earlier date, didn't work ran every maintenance program I could find didn't help. After running system Mech and everything it could fix I restored the Register to an earlier date (2 mo ago) and this seems to have fixed the issue. I am sorry for all the trouble, the issue may have been my computer all along, but if anyone else has this issue, I hope what I have found may help them.
Thanks again you guys rock.

I am glad that you made this work on your machine. I tried to find any reason for the problem and did not find anything. But we will keep an eye on the issue, especially if other users reports similar malfunctions.

It is for sure the computer windows 10 issue. I shut down and left it a day and came back to updates and the computer doing the same thing again. I have made a restore point when it was working as it should and did a restore and it worked the way it should again glad I had the restore point. Display setting keeps changing and have lost the internet connection also with cable hook up but works with wifi. so after I get through this weekend's gig I am just going to do just to a restore to factory settings and start over. Taking back up to gig just in case Thanks for
Happy Camper here thanks, guys.
