Get Help & Advice on Installing & Using Karaoke Software by Power Karaoke

I have been using Power Karaoke for about six months now, love it. I KJ/DJ at a local club on weekends. We have had several people ask us to host a Karaoke Contest. Anyone have any suggestions on how to judge this contest fairly? I would also appreciate any helpful information on how to run a successful contest.

What about by applause like they do on some shows. Whoever gets the loudest applause response wins.

I have been a DJ/KJ for more than 8 years now, and I had the same problem. Not knowing how to fairly judge a karaoke contest... So in the end I Decided to have all of my emloyees attend and we ended up having a karaoke Idol contest. It ran for 3 weeks, and we did it just like American Idol. The winner won $3,000 dollars, and the bar coverd it all, because they thought it was a really great idea.
